Some history
Our company arose even before World War Two. Even then the first water sports lovers from the city came here to rent a berth for their boat, in front of our grandmother’s farm.
Soon after that a few summer cottages were added and people came here to camp in a tent. Our father took over the company. Because people were asking for a place to recreate and in addition to the income of a large family, our parents started focussing more and more on recreation, next to the dairy cattle farm (where they made Leiden cheese and full-cream butter).
The camping was expanded and in 1971 a marina was built. In the beginning of 1984 we took over the family company. In 1993 we made the decision to finish our work concerning the cattle farm and to fully concentrate on our recreational business. From 2001 till 2005 we have spent the winter months enlarging the terrains of the yearly camping spots for the mobile bungalows and the site caravans one by one and renewing the public services in four phases.
